Jake Martin is a New Brunswick-based actor, writer and comedian who has performed from coast to coast in Canada.
Jake is a graduate of St. Thomas University, where he is currently the artist-in-residence at the Black Box Theatre. A Second City Conservatory alum, he has performed with Second City Toronto's FamCo and is a former member of the Canadian Comedy Award-winning sketch comedy group, The Sketchersons, where he performed with Canadian comedy mainstays such as Kevin McDonald and Ron Pederson.
He is the former Artistic Director of the Next Folding Theatre Company and the co-founder of Hot Garbage Comedy. His play Someone Gets Shot was selected by Samuel French for their Off Off Broadway Festival and was shortlisted for the Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh award in Scotland. He recently performed his solo sketch show Snakes Are Cool at Toronto Sketchfest and completed a tour with Theatre New Brunswick's mainstage show, Wood Buffalo.
